Get Shipwrecked with Lighthouse

October 9, 2010

At GCBF Lighthouse teased that’ll be releasing a new beer in the 650ml format. I then heard that it would be 10%. Some speculation started flying. Would it be the Vodka-infused espresso Keeper’s Stout that was on show at the festival. Turns out it’s something completely in the other direction, a triple IPA. Not sure what makes it a triple IPA, but at 10% a couple of these will certainly leave you Shipwrecked.

Lighthouse Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of our newest beer. Shipwrecked Triple IPA is the first 650mL offering in our “Small Brewery-Big Flavour” series and is only available for a limited time.

Shipwrecked Triple IPA is a strong beer brewed in small batches using twice the regular kettle time, double the Pale Malt and triple the hops of a regular IPA. The Unique combination of Simpsons Maris Otter malt and Amarillo, Columbus, and Perle hops create a rich malt character with pine, spruce and citrus notes. Two months of conditioning and dry hopping have created this amazingly drinkable triple IPA that is sure to please the true IPA aficionado.

This first beer of our new series will be available in Private Retail Stores on October 18, 2010. The response to our first offering in this format from
Lighthouse Brewing has been overwhelming! We have pre-sold our entire production run to private retailers before even announcing the name or the style of the beer! We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we have enjoyed making it.
